Digital Do It Yourself (DiDIY) is a new socio-technological phenomenon, focused on the adoption of digital technologies that support the convergence from atoms to bits and viceversa. This often happen through open online communities. The research project has defined a conceptual framework through which explore and understand the phenomenon. The project produced guidelines for its effective social dissemination, and studied how DiDIY is: changing organizations, work, training, research and creative design; changing the social role of creativity; influencing legal and ethical systems.
